# Glossary

> The words these docs use, and what each one means here.

| Term | Meaning |
| ----------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| **Taker** | Anyone requesting and executing a swap. |
| **Resolver** | An operator running a node that signs binding offers from inventory it controls. |
| **Node** | The resolver's program: one binary, `panofx-node`, run from the app or the command line. |
| **RFQ** | A request for quote, broadcast to resolvers for a specific size. |
| **Offer** | A resolver's signed Permit2 limit order (EVM) or maker-signed settlement transaction (Solana). Binding until its deadline. |
| **Quote** | The relay's firm answer to a taker: the winning offer priced with the fee and gas lines, valid for 20 seconds. |
| **Relay** | The Panofx service that runs RFQs, validates and ranks offers, and applies abuse controls. |
| **Keeper** | The relay's submitter. It pays gas, is repaid inside the transaction, and holds gas money only. |
| **Sponsored execution** | The default: the taker signs a `TakerAuth`, the keeper submits and pays gas, and is repaid from the taker up to the signed cap. |
| **Self-execution** | The fallback: the taker submits the same settlement and pays their own gas. |
| **TakerAuth** | The taker's EIP-712 authorization: exact offers, recipient, minimum proceeds, maximum gas fee, fee token, deadline. |
| **LimitAuth** | The same shape without the offers: authorizes whichever offers deliver the minimum in the named token before the deadline. The basis of a limit order. |
| **Fee token** | The token, one of the corridor's pair, in which both the protocol fee and the gas fee are charged. On Solana, the fee mint. |
| **Corridor** | A pair on a chain, such as cNGN/USDC on Base Sepolia. One entry quotes both directions. |
| **Oracle band** | The relay's advisory reference rate: a median of public NGN/USD sources, published to nodes every 10 seconds. It flags outliers and never sets prices. |
| **Registration** | A wallet signature plus a name, region and alert email. The only step between a node and its first RFQ. |
| **Reliability score** | A rolling measure of a resolver's response, validity and settlement rates over 7 days. Public; ranks resolvers when prices tie. |
| **Demotion** | Automatic removal from RFQ fan-out for one hour when a resolver's reverts or score cross a threshold. |
| **Liquidity steering** | Preferred or restricted resolver wallet lists on a quote; the compliance primitive for integrators. |
| **Signer backend** | The module that produces a node's signatures: keyfile, Turnkey or MPCVault. |
| **Remote console** | An end-to-end encrypted channel through the relay that lets a paired browser drive a node running somewhere else. |
| **Permit2** | Uniswap's canonical signature-transfer contract, at the same address on every EVM chain. |
| **Reactor** | UniswapX's `LimitOrderReactor`, vendored at v2.1.0, which settles every EVM fill. |
| **PanofxValidation** | The contract every EVM offer names. Admits only the executor as filler, and carries the network pause. |
| **PanofxFeeController** | Returns the protocol fee output: at most 5 bps of the fee token to the treasury. |
| **PanofxExecutor** | The filler for every EVM fill. Pulls the taker's leg inside the reactor's callback, pays proceeds and gas, and holds nothing. |
| **Order engine** | The vendored Solana program whose single `fill` instruction settles both legs once maker and taker have both signed. |
| **Base units** | Integer token amounts before the decimal point is applied. Every amount in the API is a base-unit decimal string. |
